2026 General Election

On November 15, 2023, the Healthy Petaluma District Board of Directors approved Resolution No. 2023-02, which established and implemented by-zone elections commencing with the November 2024 elections.

2026 Election of Directors

Interested persons who are registered voters residing within the boundaries of Healthy Petaluma District Zones 1 and 3 and who have not been convicted of a felony may obtain forms and information on candidate filing at sonomacounty.ca.gov/CRA/Registrar-of-Voters/Candidate-Filing.  Payment of a deposit toward the publication cost for a Statement of Qualifications for the Voter Guide must be made prior to filing.

Candidates must file with the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters during the established filing period.  If one of the incumbent directors does not file for re-election, the deadline will be extended for anyone other than the incumbent.

Pursuant to E.C. §10515 and E.C.§20, if the number of persons who have filed a declaration of candidacy does not exceed the number of open seats, the persons who have filed will be appointed, and the District board may fill any unfilled seat by appointment.
